Worth knowing

  • A Page, not a personal profile: platform rules do not allow API publishing to personal timelines
  • If a Page is missing from the list, refresh it in the app — newly created Pages take a moment to appear
  • Facebook can temporarily block posting after policy violations; the app surfaces that message rather than silently retrying
  • Facebook audiences skew towards longer copy than TikTok — consider a separate template

Watch the first posts

Statuses and any platform errors appear on the Posts page — including the rarer policy-related rejections, explained in plain language.

Questions

About this integration

Can I publish to several Pages?

You choose the Page per connection. If you manage several Pages for the same store, connect and target them through separate automations.

Why does AutoPost need business_management?

Many Pages are owned by a Business Manager rather than by a personal profile. Without that scope the app cannot resolve those Pages, and your Page would simply not appear in the list.

Does AutoPost read my Page messages or ads?

No. It reads the list of Pages you manage and the engagement state of its own posts. Inbox, ad accounts and audience data are not requested and not accessed.

What if a post is rejected for policy reasons?

The post is marked failed and the message the platform returned is shown. Facebook occasionally blocks posting temporarily; in that case the fix is to wait rather than to retry immediately.

Data and controls

AutoPost stores the encrypted authorisation tokens, the account identifier and the profile details shown in the app, plus the posts you scheduled and their results. Disconnect the account in AutoPost, or revoke access on the platform, and the tokens are deleted. See the Privacy Policy and data deletion pages.
